Multi-level energy storage system for Hagos
As a cooperative, Hagos stands for much more than just the wholesale of products for stove construction; it stands for independence, market overview and bundled experience in the industry. Hagos offers comprehensive knowledge and decades of experience in the field of heating with wood – a concept that is both ecologically and economically sensible and future-oriented.
Our services
As the world moves towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future, innovative energy storage solutions are becoming increasingly important. Pioneering inverter technology enables us to revitalize used and surplus car batteries from electric or hybrid vehicles and give them a second life. These batteries will become an integral part of our innovative energy storage solutions for industry and commerce, ensuring a sustainable and cost-efficient energy supply.
Sustainable energy with expansion options
Thurnau, Germany, is home to a pioneering project that combines sustainability and innovation. With an impressive storage capacity of 261 kWh, this outdoor stand-alone storage system optimizes self-consumption and provides a robust charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
The system can be expanded as required to meet Hagos’ growing requirements Thanks to the monitoring of cell voltage, cell temperature, current and passive balancing, it ensures maximum efficiency and safety. This innovative second-life energy storage project is helping to drive forward the energy transition and increases the level of self-sufficiency on the site by around one day.
Applications:
- Peak load capping
- Self-consumption optimization
- Charging and load management
Project details:
- Storage capacity: 261 kWh (208 kWh usable)
- Extension: Can be extended as required
- Location: Thurnau, Germany
- Monitoring: cell voltage, cell temperature, current and passive balancing
- Purpose: Optimization of self-consumption, peak load capping, charging infrastructure for electric vehicles
- Degree of self-sufficiency: ~1 day
All-in complete system
The container is fitted with the individual modules on site at e.battery systems. The container is delivered fully equipped with battery modules. The power storage unit is positioned and electrically installed on site in Sennwald.
The system is based on a 67.5 kW inverter. Additional power can be added by expanding the system with additional modules and containers.
The storage of the future.
Energy storage systems or better known as energy storage systems are the future of efficient energy storage and energy supply. Basically, the system is simple and quickly explained. Energy can be stored via the power grid or preferably via alternative power sources, such as electricity from photovoltaics, and then used again as required.
But why do we actually want to store energy? By storing energy, we can generate power independently of the grid and therefore have access to this energy even in the event of an outage. We can also optimize our own energy consumption by capping peak loads.
The complete control and monitoring of energy consumption, energy sources and the energy storage system works simply via our energy management system.
