Advice on the engineering of satellite floor systems
Specializing in satellite systems and space applications, OHB System OHB System AG is one of the largest space companies in Europe. In its role as prime contractor, OHB is responsible for both the development of the satellite (space segment) and the development and provision of the ground segment for controlling the system.
The ground segment of a satellite mission comprises the systems and software for controlling the spacecraft as well as the operators and engineers who carry out satellite operations on the basis of defined, system-specific procedures.

Our services included systems engineering tasks at the highest level of ground systems and operations as well as at the level of individual ground stations. In addition to the usual standards of the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS), national standards and norms such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Radiation Protection Ordinance and DGUV regulations were also applied.
The traceability of the requirements and their coverage by the tests was ensured by using IBM Rational DOORS.
