The Ibeo Laser View (ILV) software is used to display raw measurement data (“scan points”) and object information for testing and analysis. Our service primarily comprised the development of algorithms for determining the static environment and free space, as well as downstream detection of the occlusion of moving objects.
Our tasks also included the implementation of numerous innovations such as the labeling of objects, the connection of new sensors or the conversion of the CAN interface. We then expanded the test and development tools for the ILV software and further developed the Ibeo Software Development Kit, which is used as a connection layer between the Ibeo sensors and frameworks and enables the creation of custom algorithms.
The project was realized using C++, C, boost, Qt (OpenGL) and bash scripts. The development environment used was Eclipse under Linux with gcc and make and Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012 under Windows for both platforms with CMake and make.
