Hardware Developer (Junior to Senior), Niš Location (m/f/d)

These are your challenges:

ebs electronics d.o.o. is the ebs group’s newly established manufacturing company in Niš, Serbia. As part of our growing international group, you will work on sophisticated electronics and battery systems for applications in renewable energy, automotive, MedTech and industrial environments.

At our Niš site, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility from the initial circuit concept through to the validated prototype and contribute your expertise to international development projects.

Develop digital, analog and mixed-signal circuits based on technical and customer requirements – from schematic design to validated prototypes
Design circuit diagrams and PCB layouts using EDA tools such as Altium Designer or KiCad, including multilayer and impedance-controlled designs
Take ownership of BMS development activities, including architecture, implementation, testing and client-side commissioning
Build and commission hardware prototypes for feasibility studies and functional validation under real operating conditions
Perform electrical measurements, hardware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and battery-specific test equipment
Work closely with our software engineering teams to align hardware design with control logic and firmware requirements
Select and evaluate electronic components with regard to availability, lifetime, obsolescence risks and cost targets
Support EMC, CE and product qualification testing in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements
Perform hands-on lab work, including SMD/THT soldering, cable assembly and hardware bring-up
Use AI-assisted tools for datasheet analysis, component selection, design reviews and technical documentation, and help us integrate these tools pragmatically into our engineering workflows

What you bring with you:

A university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable technical field
Professional experience in hardware and electronics development
Experience with Altium Designer or comparable PCB design software
A strong understanding of analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design
Solid knowledge of multilayer PCB design
Experience with microcontrollers and circuit simulation tools such as LTspice
Experience in embedded software development is an advantage, whether bare-metal or RTOS-based development on ARM Cortex-M or embedded Linux on ARM Cortex-A
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A structured and independent way of working
Good written and spoken English
An interest in using AI-assisted engineering tools for component research, datasheet analysis and technical documentation
