ecore is more than just a real-time control platform. It is the basis for industrial control applications that require deterministic behavior, maximum availability and minimum latency.

The platform is based on the AMD® Zynq® UltraScale+ MPSoC and enables the parallel execution of low-latency control algorithms - optionally model-based with Simulink® - together with an embedded Linux distribution.

What makes ecore unique

First integration of RTOS, embedded Linux and FPGA in one platform. No more compromise between real-time capability and operating system convenience. A hypervisor isolates Linux from the real-time cores - with a hypervisor latency of less than 3 µs.

Hard Real-Time - measurable. Stable 10 kHz application cycle on the CPU cores. On the FPGA side, cycle times of up to 0.01 µs can be achieved. The master-slave round trip is less than 1.6 µs, the jitter less than 35 ns.

100 % model-based development. The integrated Simulink® target for RTOS and FPGA eliminates the need for a complete toolchain setup. Control algorithms are deployed directly from Simulink® to the target hardware.

Scalable thanks to master-slave architecture. Up to 32 slaves per master can be connected via CAT6a cabling. Slaves take over the sensor and actuator interfaces directly in the control cabinet.

Remote Software Update. The A/B update mechanism enables remote-controlled software updates with signing, encryption and automatic rollback in the event of an error.
